MY PICK: #3

8/15/2016

With the depth of talent at the top of this draft, sitting in the third slot is about properly playing the cards you are dealt. Sitting in the third slot doesn't allow for you to determine what the structure of your team will be, it will be assigned to you. You can't decide if the the first pick is a QB or RB or even WR, all you can do is play the cards you are dealt. My advice... Know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em.

These mock drafts are based off of a 10-team PPR League, with a snake draft and cover the first 10 picks.
MY TEAM: PICK 3 (QB STRONG)
  • 1. Dez Bryant (WR) 3rd overall
  • 2. Allen Robinson (WR) 18th overall
  • 3. Mark Ingram (RB) 23rd overall
  • 4. Latavius Murray (RB) 38th overall
  • 5. Greg Olsen (TE) 43rd overall
  • 6. TY Hilton (WR) 58th overall
  • 7. Blake Bortles (QB) 63rd overall
  • 8. Ameer Abdullah (RB) 78th overall
  • 9. Justin Forsett (RB) 83rd overall
  • 10. John Brown (WR) 98th overall
TEAM NOTES
Dez Bryant will be the number 1 receiver this year, TRUST ME. His points will explode every single week.

Ingram and Murray are a nice RB combination, because New Orleans does not have the targets for Brees to throw to, meaning that Ingram has a chance to get several rushing attempts per game and several receptions as well.

Blake Bortles is a great pick in the 7th round. Don't reach too early if you miss the top tier Quarterbacks.

MY TEAM: PICK THREE (QB WEAK)
  • 1. Antonio Brown (WR) 3rd overall
  • 2. Doug Martin (RB) 18th overall
  • 3. Eddie Lacy (RB) 23rd overall
  • 4. TY Hilton (WR) 38th overall
  • 5. Russell Wilson (QB) 43rd overall
  • 6. Danny Woodhead (RB) 58th overall
  • 7. Travis Kelce (TE) 63rd overall
  • 8. Michael Crabtree WR) 78th overall
  • 9. Demarco Murray (RB) 83rd overall
  • 10. Charles Sims (RB) 98th overall
TEAM NOTES:
-Antonio Brown has been the best fantasy WR the past two years. He is the safest player and fantasy football and should be a top 3 pick in all drafts.
-Doug Martin was the number 3 RB in fantasy last year but feel he is more of a top 10 or top 12 RB this year.
-With two relative safe picks in the first two rounds Eddie Lacy is a league winning pick if him and the Packers offense can return to pre 2015 numbers.
-Wouldn't be surprised if Russell Wilson is the number 1 QB in Fantasy this year.
-Charles Sims is a valuable handcuff RB and has standalone value with he pass catching ability.
